Carpet cleaning for Houston homes, rentals and offices
Houston carpet takes a beating: mud tracked in from summer storms, pets, pollen, and humidity that keeps a damp carpet damp. Cleaning it properly means getting the soil out and the water back out too.
For homes we use hot-water extraction, often called steam cleaning. The carpet is vacuumed first, traffic lanes and spots are pre-treated, and a wand rinses the fibers with hot water and pulls the water and loosened soil back out. The point most people miss is drying. In Houston's humidity a carpet left wet can smell musty within a day, so we make extra dry passes, run air movers when the room needs them, and tell you how long to stay off it, usually four to eight hours.
For offices with commercial carpet tile, we use low-moisture cleaning: an encapsulating solution worked into the fibers by a machine, then vacuumed out once it dries. Desks are back in use the next morning, and regular low-moisture maintenance keeps carpet tile looking even between deeper restorative cleans.
Spot treatment depends on the stain. Coffee, soda, mud and most food spills come out. Pet urine can be treated, but urine that has soaked through to the pad may leave a smell that only pad replacement fixes, and we will tell you before you pay for the treatment. Bleach spots and sun fading are color loss, not dirt, and cannot be cleaned out.

Questions about carpet cleaning
How long does carpet take to dry?
Four to eight hours after hot-water extraction in most homes, longer on humid summer days. Ceiling fans and the AC on help. Office carpet tile cleaned with low-moisture methods is usually dry within an hour.
How often should carpet be cleaned?
Every 12 to 18 months in most homes, every six months with pets or allergies, and on a schedule in offices that depends on foot traffic.
Can you get pet urine smell out?
Often, with enzyme treatment. If urine has soaked through to the pad, the smell may come back, and replacing the pad is the only real fix. We will tell you what we see before treating.
Do you move furniture?
We move chairs, side tables and light pieces. Beds, dressers, sofas and entertainment centers stay put unless arranged ahead.
Do you clean area rugs?
Synthetic area rugs can be cleaned on site. Wool, silk and hand-knotted rugs should go to a rug-cleaning plant; we can point you in the right direction.
Is carpet cleaning part of move-out cleaning?
It is a separate service, but we can book both for the same day so the carpet is done last.
